2020 Undergraduate Offerings:

BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT FOR THE INCLUSIVE CLASSROOM

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course explores the behaviors of children and youth that originate from a variety of adverse childhood experiences. We will also examine the resiliency research, the ACE studies, social and emotional learning and the many programs that address the social and emotional health of all children. We are excited to share a new evidence based relational discipline protocol, as we discuss relationships, co-regulation, classroom cultures, student motivation, and practical methods for applying the brain aligned strategies through the framework of educational neuroscience.  Emphasis is on designing, implementing, and assessing all behaviors through a brain aligned relational lens in general education classrooms, including functional behavioral analysis and behavior plans.
