Under the Influence of Our Nervous Systems

Cohort 10 of the Butler University Applied Educational Neuroscience (AEN) Certificate program is excited and inspired to share a newly created template of Focused Attention Practices and Grounding Practices designed to support adult nervous system health.

As a graduate cohort, we are passionate about offering these practices to all youth- and child-serving adults. We invite you to share this resource with your communities, organizations, districts, and schools.

While many of the practices here may eventually be shared with children and youth, it is essential that we, as adults, first experience and embody them ourselves. Practicing the breath, movement, sensory awareness, and intentional pauses supports our own regulation and strengthens our ability to coregulate with the children and young people we serve.

Thank you for joining us in this work and for helping to cultivate environments that support well-being, connection, and learning.

Warmly,
